Install

  1. Open the downloaded DMG and drag Sift into Applications.
  2. Launch Sift. On first run macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet.
  3. Connect your Gmail with an app password, which takes about two minutes.

Connect Gmail

    Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google account settings.

    Create an app password named Sift on the App passwords page. Google shows the 16 letter password once.

    Paste it into Sift and press Connect.

Checksums

Every release ships a SHA-256 sum next to the DMG on GitHub. The download button points at an immutable release asset, so the hash you verify is the file you get.

Updates

Sift checks for updates in the background and installs them on quit. You can also download any version from the releases page.
